He is a Mechatronics Engineer with a distinguished multidisciplinary background, holding a Master’s degree in Mechatronics (Industrial Processes) and a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education. This academic foundation allows him to fuse advanced engineering design with high-precision analytical models seamlessly. With 12 years of experience in Higher Education, he has been a key figure in various engineering faculties across Ecuador, collaborating with the Universidad Técnica del Norte (UTN), Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi (UPEC), Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS), Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo (UTEQ), and IST 17 de Julio. He currently serves as a Full-Time Professor in the Department of Energy and Mechanics at the Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE, leading the training of next-generation professionals in Mechatronics. His technical expertise encompasses embedded systems, industrial instrumentation, IoT, robotics, and predictive modeling. Currently, his primary focus is on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision applied to Next-Generation Autonomous Systems. By integrating these technologies with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) for UAVs and UGVs, Fernando works on expanding the boundaries of interaction, spatial awareness, and adaptability of mechatronic systems in complex, dynamic environments.
